There finally appears to be a member of staff at this hospital who actually gives a shit. A hand on my shoulder and the words “Stay strong, you can beat this.” from the nurse who is looking after me tonight, has done more for me than anything any of the various doctors have done so far.
Tomorrow I have pain management, a neurological consult, and a psychiatric evaluation to look forward to.
I hate this hospital but it appears that right now, I live here.

Here are some idiots who think that when there is a person in the wheelchair space on the bus, they should create a fence around him made out of their pushchairs full of screaming smelly offspring rather than folding the pushchairs and throwing the children into a seat/bin/whatever.

The twins now have their matching black leather cases. I can’t get over how much it entertains me that the iPad is in a £40 case, whereas the generic Android tablet on the right hand was £70 and came with a free case. Outrageous.

So, I’m an Android newbie. Know any good apps?

So far I’m enjoying the Doepfer A-178 theremin module more as a source of modulation than pitch, but I’ll think of the theremin like every other musical instrument and assume it requires practice.

It’s 05:33am on Thursday morning and I have been awake since mid-day on Tuesday. Pain etc. still keeping me up. I went to a brilliant gig earlier on, although I was worried that I’d fall asleep during it due to my exhaustion and sleep depravation, but even after consuming no coffee all day, I’m still here unable to sleep.

Since getting into bed I’ve suffered a mild seizure (just the one as far as I can tell) and other than that pretty much have just been laying there. I’ve taken three sleeping pills since tuesday night and still not managed to sleep. One of those on it’s own used to do it. I think I’m going to need to take two of them tonight.

Pain is unbearable but can’t take any more painkillers, I’m already hallucinating. Every shadow in my room has become absolutely terrifying. I really wish I wasn’t here on my own right now. I’m scared and hurting and so sick of all of this.

When using public transport with your children, please consider the following facts;

3 // The sign in the wheelchair space on London buses reads “Baby buggies can use this area IF IT IS NOT NEEDED BY A WHEELCHAIR USER”
4 // Tutting and complaining under your breath about what a hassle it is for you to move your horrible screaming little wretch of a child, and then acting like you have done me some enormous favour, automatically makes you a bitch.
5 // If you silently mouth “Sorry” through the window of a bus which I am unable to board due to the fact that your oversized pushchair and someones suitcases are taking up the entire wheelchair space, do not be surprised if I give you the finger.
