Was slightly alarmed to read that apparently as many as half of all people who have the same type of stroke that I had (a subarachnoid haemorrhage) die from them, 10 to 15% of them before even reaching a hospital. I was thinking to myself that surely this is some kind medical “rock bottom” and that things could only get better after this, but if I keep thinking like that, knowing my luck I’ll end up with cancer or some shit, so now I’m just trying not to think about it.
Today I shaved the rest of my head to match the bald patch where the stitches went, I think it actually looks a lot better in a way. I’m glad I had someone lovely here to help me get all the blood out of my hair and shave the bits I couldn’t reach, because I’d have been pretty stuck otherwise. Anyone want to wager on what will go wrong next?

man, I wish there was something I could do to help in some way. I agree that it looks better shaved. I really hope they can find the root of the problem soon.
