Why is this happening?
The first day after the pain clinic, I’ve had two of my new pain relief patches on, still taken just as many pills as usual to keep me able to move, had less than 3 hours of sleep even though I’m exhausted, and even with 2 different sedatives I still had some kind of seizure and didn’t fall asleep afterwards.
The new patches are providing a pleasant, deep kind of numbness, but even in combination with everything else I’m on, they aren’t enough. I was hoping for something a bit closer to a solution rather than just more painkillers or sedatives to mask the symptoms…
But yesterday, the Doctor told me I should expect to be on these pain meds for at least another 2 years.
